The Bloom Medical Spa in Dallas, TX is thrilled to offer Restylane and Restylane Silk treatments to those who wish to improve their appearance. Restylane is an advanced dermal filler that is revolutionizing the world of anti-aging treatments. It contains potent hyaluronic acid, which helps to reduce and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face and may even work to slow down the rate at which your face shows signs of aging. Restylane Silk is a safe and effective treatment that smoothes lines and wrinkles around the mouth and adds volume to the lips. The Restylane family of injectable dermal fillers is made from clear gels that contain concentrated levels of hyaluronic acid (HA). Each product is developed to mimic the HA that is naturally created by the body, specifically targeting select problem areas on the face to treat the earliest signs of aging. Restylane and Restylane Silk injections are expertly performed by our Certified Nurse Injector, Carolyn Craft or our Physician Assistant, Karen Wiltin.
Restylane Family Products
At The Bloom Medical Spa, we can inject your facial lines around the nose, mouth, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and unwanted jowls with Restylane Silk. A synthetic hyaluronic acid is the main ingredient of Restylane Silk, which was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to supplement your skin's natural hyaluronic acid reserves. This can rehydrate your skin, make it firmer and suppler for 6 – 12 months. Our team of registered nurse injectors have years of experience consulting and injecting men and women with cosmetic injectables such as Restylane Silk.
If you already have the tell-tale signs of aging in your facial wrinkles, Restylane Lyft could be the right product for you. This is an injectable wrinkle filler that is made from synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA) to fill and soften fine lines, moderate wrinkles, and skin folds on the face. Dr. Genecov recommends Restylane Lyft to increase the volume in the cheeks, chin, lips, and around the eyes for natural-looking improvements that last up to a year.
Restylane continues to create advanced products based on the needs of patients, revolutionizing the anti-aging market with many options. One of the newer injectables is Restylane Refyne. This injection uses XpresHAn Technology to soften and diminish the fine lines created by smiling and laughing (known as the nasolabial folds and marionette lines) for natural-looking improvements.
Restylane Defyne, yet another option we offer for patients seeking a smoother facial appearance, is a filler product offered by the Restylane family that acts similar to Refyne. It also uses XpresHAn Technology for a younger, natural-looking appearance. This particular injection is used for patients who may have more moderate to severe folds, lines, and wrinkles in the face and is also especially useful in treating the nasolabial folds.
Almost anyone wanting to improve the contours of their face and soften preexisting lines and wrinkles, while achieving a younger looking appearance, is a good candidate for a Restylane treatment. Our certified nurse injector may suggest Restylane when treating the following concerns:
- Laugh lines around the mouth.
- Perioral rhytids around the mouth (smoker’s lines).
- Nasolabial lines.
- Sunken or hollow cheeks.
- Bags under the eyes.
- Marionette lines.
- Low volume around the mouth.
- Sagging skin on the chin and jaw.
- Thinned out lips that have grown less plump with age.
- The presence of fine lines, wrinkles, and creases at the edge of the lips commonly known as "smoker’s lines."
What To Expect
While Restylane is made of only organic ingredients, allergic reactions have rarely been reported. However, patients will need to notify the certified nurse injector providing the treatment (before it begins) if they have a past history of any allergic reactions or any ongoing medical issues. As with all dermal fillers, patients should tell the injector if they have recently received any other injections or if they are currently using any supplements, prescriptions, or medications. The treatment may need to be rescheduled for a later date if patients are currently experiencing an active infection, rash, acne, cold sores, or inflammation and/or skin irritation.
Our certified nurse injector will use a topical anesthetic on the skin to help minimize any discomfort they may experience during their procedure. The Restylane gel will then be injected directly into the underlying layers of the skin with an ultrafine needle. For Resylane Silk, the administration process is very similar, only the product is injected directly into the lips. Treatments typically last 30 minutes.
After treatment, redness and minor swelling may occur. However, these symptoms typically subside within a few days. Although patients may notice some results right away, optimal outcomes will become more apparent with time. Patients should expect the results of their treatment to last between 10 – 12 months.
